In honor of Dr. Suess’ birthday tomorrow, I’d like to share one of our favorite local finds, Your Favorite Suess, by Random House.
Thanks to Mr. K’s Used Books we recently snatched up this sweet find for less than $10.00. It’s a book we look forward to reading to our grandchildren for years to come.
What’s your favorite Dr. Suess story?
I think Green Eggs and Ham has to do it for me. Love the orange cover my book had.
Cathy,
I just visited a friend at her school. She is a teacher librarian and she has decorated her library with the Dr. Seuss theme — very cute and the kids love it.
There are too many Dr. Seuss books for me to decide. And the one I'm thinking of I can't think of the name but the premise is even the smallest people matter — it's going to bug me if I can't figure it out. (makes me think how in America we discard the unlovely or even babies) ;( And his premise is no matter how big etc. they all matter. 😉 (I think they made a movie out of it too).
God bless your weekend,
I'm sure those grandkids will love your book for years to come.
Love, Hester 😉
SO many, how hard to narrow it down! But I'm with Ellen – Green Eggs and Ham is a classic.
I also loved "Oh The Places You'll Go" and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish."
At one point in my life, I could recite "The ABC book" from memory. That was my kids' favorite.
We can't go wrong with any of them, can we?
Hester, is The Lorax? I need to spiff up my Suessing skills before Piper knows the difference. lol.
Thanks for sharing, Ellen, Hester, and Susan!
