I know, I know—we’ve not yet celebrated Thanksgiving and I’m already sharing Christmas ideas, but I prefer to think of CC Owen’s recent post, The Christmas Card Party, as a year-round opportunity to build relationships.

Is it jingling bells, online sales, or Bing belting it out in the background that seems to soften hearts at Christmastime? I can’t say for sure, but statistics prove that people are more open to the Gospel of Jesus Christ now than at any other time of the year. What better reason to set aside one night to build relationships that may one day become a bridge to eternity?

I have to agree with you Cathy. In fact. hearing Christmas carols and seeing Xmas decorations this early in the year bugs me since we haven't yet even has Thanksgiving. So the true meaning of Christmas is left out.
We're headed to my aunt's home this year. One we rarely see. So it'll be a good time to focus on becoming closer and eventually softening her heart to accepting the gospel.
What a thought-provoking article! Being Pennsylvania Deutsch, I've always followed tradition where the family unit is brought together by participating in age-old customs. But now that I no longer live near any family, it may be time to start new traditions with friends. Thank, Cathy!
