On this mega shopping day, consider investing in a Christmas puzzle!

Piecing together quirky shapes as a family is a great way to begin the holiday season. Those evenings can be the catalyst for both meaningful conversations and lots o’ giggling. Set up a card table in the corner of your den or find a flat mobile surface for your puzzle so it can be easily moved when you’re done for the evening.

When our boys were growing up we’d usually have a Christmas music playing in the background. I’d break out a roll of Toll House Cookies and throw them in the oven. It doesn’t take much to make the holidays memorable for those we love.

Even now as empty nesters, this is one tradition we still enjoy.

I’d love to hear from you! What’s one of your favorite family traditions?

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children
born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands. How joyful is
the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when
he confronts his accusers at the city gates. (NLT)
