While I couldn’t ask for a better cheerleader than Brian — hands down, the last place I was expecting to find back-ups was in the doctor’s office!
After sharing my journey, and desire to incorporate some cross training into my exercise regime through running, the doctor smiled and shared that they were there to improve my life through movement — not to put me on the sideline of life. Within the hour, two more doctors were in the room “cheering me on” — I think I walked out of there on air, but I’m not sure. 🙂
Granted, they suggested it not be my main source of exercise and that I’d have to wear a new brace, but it’s all doable! They said if I experience ongoing pain issues to come back in and they would help through physical therapy, but that the x-rays showed my knee was stable and ready to go!
Ah, three of my favorite words — ready to go!
(Speaking of which, I need to get ready to go to church — teaching on solitude. I plan to share some excerpts from the study tomorrow.)
