My most recent favorite find is this handcrafted birdhouse, picked up at a nearby church rummage sale.
The rim of Robin’s Egg blue first caught my attention, but I was taken in by the shabby tin roof, the heaviness of the piece, and a little tag still attached to it’s steeple announcing it once sat in a Michigan gallery.
Handcrafted, shabby, and money marked for missions. What more could a girl ask for?
Last weekend’s thrift find, a signed drawing of a Saluda NC downtown building, is a win.
It was once the Morning Glory florist, but I believe it now houses the best pizza in Saluda, @thepurpleonionsaluda.
The quiet town of @saludanc has been a favorite destination of mine for decades. @wildfloursaluda is our go-to for delicious food and bakery treats, and a tiny shop adjacent to the bakery is pure delight with a little bit of everything with a mountain feel.
The thrifty price tag doesn’t reflect its true value evident in the artist’s deft skill in bringing a mere building to life. A find indeed. 💗
