I knew Verizon would be added to this morning’s errand list after dropping my phone last night, smashing it apart in two pieces. No tears were shed (I’m not a fan of the phone) and I was actually dreading the visit to Verizon today.
When we handed my old phone over, the guy could barely keep his composure. He said I should win an award for having kept it together that long — they hadn’t seen that particular model in years. About 5 years to be exact.
I wanted the cheapest, most basic type. That was, until Brian introduced me to the type pad version. Have mercy! Thanks to an incredible deal, I snatched this up (in maroon):
The rest of the day was spent pulling the last minute details together for the Christmas Tea coming up Monday night. We’ll have close to 20 ladies present and I can’t wait! It will be a special time to celebrate our friendship and the One who makes it all possible.
Tonight, we started bringing the Christmas things down from the attic and preparing for our visit with Megan and Brandon tomorrow. We are SO looking forward to spending time with them again. Looking back, I think we took for granted that they lived just around the corner from us. Needless to say, tomorrow will be a lot of fun. We’re going to have another Thanksgiving dinner!
One of the highlights of my evening was sitting downstairs listening to Brian practice his trumpet in the music room and hearing Zach practice his guitar at the same time upstairs. Two musicians, two genres. It was great!
