It may be Piper’s second Christmas (She’s 13 months today!) but in many ways it’s her very first, for this year she marvels at the Christmas lights, Grammy’s Shiny Brites and her daddy’s handmade ornaments, crafted during his childhood.
The wonder of a child. It’s a beautiful thing.
Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you
planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of
them, they would be too many to declare. -Psalm 40:5

Father, help us to rediscover our child-like wonder as we consider You and the many unspeakable things You are doing in and around us today.
Beautiful Cathy. The wonder in Piper's eyes is precious. I love it!
Me too, Ellen. 🙂 Thank you!
Beautiful! I'm not sure which is more exciting. Being a child at Christmas and discovering the beautiful lights, sights, sounds and fragrances or watching a child make new discoveries!
Oh, that we would always have the wonder and excitement of a "baby" Christian even after years of spiritual growth that we will always see Him through the eyes of a child.
So true Cathy,
Just last night my husband and I were using a giftcard we received out to dinner and half way through our meal a little girl toddled across the floor — prob. a year — she was just learning to walk and it was precious — everyone sitting around just stared at her starry eyes and innocent joy! 🙂
It was great. Have fun with your sweet baby girl! Love, Hester 😉
Kathy, as a relatively new grammy I'm convinced it's the latter. 🙂 Oh, the joys of grandparenting!
Hester, the innocence of a child takes on a whole new meaning and appreciation after yesterday, doesn't it? I hugged Piper a little tighter after hearing the initial reports. We have much to be thankful for and I plan, Lord willing, to savor each moment. Thank you for sharing!
