First, Cathy is refreshing as a sister in Christ and as a writer. Her perspective is genuine, creative, and grounded in God’s Word. I visit her blog whenever I need a fresh thought on my spiritual life. And her love for the Lord and for others, as well as her funny-bone, inspires me all the time in our friendship.

Second, whenever I have an opportunity to get away, I desperately want a break from routine, but I’m not interested in a “getaway” from God! I love the idea of having a special devotional just for those times when I’m looking for a change from daily life. I always want to include God even when I’m on retreat or vacation, and this unconventional little book is just the ticket.
