Welcome to the first day of our Christmas series!
If you’re searching for a place to find one simple way to bring more meaning to your Christmas season, I hope you’ll find it here.
Each idea in this series will be brief. Some may relate to you more than others. That’s okay! If it doesn’t relate, feel free to forward it to someone else.
{ Day 1 }
Many cashiers will find themselves weary from a hectic Black Friday weekend. Be extra patient today. A kind smile will encourage them more than you know.
**If your budget allows, consider purchasing a handful of $5.00 Starbucks or Dunkin Donut gift cards to share with cashiers and other people God will place on your radar this holiday season.
Who have you shown an extra dose of grace to this morning? Share it here!
yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians 3:12
Oh Cathy, I can't tell you how much I love Col 3:12. What a great reminder of how we're to treat people every single day.
I love your suggestion to share Starbucks with random people. When I go through the line with cashiers and tellers, I always try to make eye contact with each of them and thank them. I'm amazed (and saddened) at how many people just grab their stuff and leave, and never even look up.
Thanks for this great series, Cathy. Hugs to you!
Love this idea! The other people who need our grace are our fellow shoppers and those we are in bumper to bumper traffic with on the road…especially if that road is Woodruff Road!
It's a favorite of mine as well, Susan. I didn't realize how rude some can be until I called Chic-fil-A when something was left out of my bag. The young man specifically thanked me for being kind to him. I was blown away. His comment made me realize how the little acts of kindness truly matter. Hugs to you too, my Hokie friend (Great game against VA!)
Amen, Lynn! What a great reminder that kindness begins long before we enter a store. Especially if we have a Christian bumper sticker. 🙂 Ouch!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing, Lynn. 🙂
I love this idea! I used to give a Christmas tract with a candy cane attached. They were always surprised for a customer to give them a gift.
Can't wait to see the rest of the ideas in your series!
What a great idea, Cathy! Thank you for nudging me to reach out in random acts of kindness!
Kathy, what a great idea! Thank you for sharing it with us. Hope you're feeling better. 🙂
Love from SC…
Thanks, Vonda. 🙂 Love you!
Much better. Thanks, Cathy!
So thankful to hear that, Kathy. 🙂
Well, they all said it–great idea and powerful scripture to remember as Lyn said, on woodruff Road! Thanks, Cathy
So true, Marcia! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
