{ Day 16 }
Let’s clean out our closets! Donate clothes, shoes, toys, and household gifts. Our things not only bless the recipients but also supply much needed jobs for many stores such as Goodwill.
In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must
help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself
said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Acts 20:35
I've started giving away some clothes, though I never thought about it as a Christmas thing. Now if I can just get rid of some stuff I this office.
Cathy, thank you so much for your post. Would you believe that's exactly what I've been doing! And to think that ministry can be the results of doing housework. Awesome!
I know what you mean, Ellen! Office stuff is the hardest stuff for me to get rid of. Go figure. 🙂
Thanks for sharing!
Ha! Vonda…I don't think I've ever used housework and ministry in the same sentence. Love it! 🙂
I know a huge amount of Miracle Hills support for their children homes and shelters comes from the sale of donations at their store. Benefits all around.
Amen, Marcia. Our willingness to "release" allows others the ability to receive.
Merry Christmas!!
Loving your simple suggestions Cathy. We went through our closets recently:)
Thanks so much, Ginger! I hope you and yours are having a blessed Christmas season.
