Who couldn’t use a cup of coffee, especially on a Monday? Consider treating the person behind you in line to their morning java.
Confession (Ouch!) I’ve chosen to forgo pay-it-forward moments because the woman behind me seemed to have it all together. Why would a woman driving a BMW with impeccable style need a free coffee? Ugh! Must I reason everything out?
One divine tap. That’s all it took to be reminded that I see only the outward appearance, like a performance being played out on stage. But God alone knows the inner workings of the heart…the playing out of our story, if you will.
Perhaps today isn’t so much about paying for a cup of coffee, but rather trusting God’s promptings regardless of what’s being played out in front of us.
Where might someone receive a “pay it forward” gift from you today?
Such a great message. God's Word instructs us to minister to the poor, but we do so at the exclusion of those who are rich. We forget that they also walk in Spiritual poverty and are one of the least ministered to people groups in our nation. Christ ministered to and died for all. Thanks for the reminder to push past the economic, ethnic, and social barriers that we erect and remain sensitive to the Holy Spirit's prompting. Merry Christmas!
Beautifully said, Starr. Merry Christmas to you as well, my friend.
Blessings from SC…
