A new song. Psalm 40.3 // Unto God. // My Rescuer. // My Redeemer. // My shame-bearer. // My Conquerer. // My Joy. // My Grantor of Grace. Abundant. Fresh. Mercy. // Singing for my Pappa God. // My forever song.
Inhaling. // Working. // Playing. // In Traffic. // In Target. // Daydreaming. // Praying. // Loving. // Serving. // Coffee. // What is Said. // What Remains Unspoken. // Exhaling.
-Blessed Assurance, Frances J. Crosby, 1873.

Love the “four future foes of the Enemy” Nice use of alliteration! Wonderful transparency that gets people thinking about their own life.
Thanks so much, Ellen! While watching those lyrics roll across the screen at church a few weeks back the idea came to mind. I love that our stories are ultimately His. 🙂 Blessings!
Cathy, I absolutely love how you formatted this! Thank you for sharing. I’m thinking about what my life would look like in a snapshot like this. I’ll be glad when my first thoughts become healed and set free, rather than broken. But God, through this faithful grace and mercy, is carrying me to that place.
Nan, I’m praying that place will emerge in beautiful ways along your journey. God will take those shards of pain and heal them in a way only He can do. In fact, He is already accomplishing this through your writing, as well as your ministry of encouragement, which was so obvious at Blue Ridge. I feel blessed to call you my friend. 🙂
Thank you Cathy. My eyes are glistening with hopeful, thankful tears.
Wow, Cathy, this is powerful! Thank you for sharing your story and your song in such a special way! For my words, I could say:
Know it all. // Knows the One Who created it all.
I love it, Vonda! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Lovely, Cathy. Your words are emotive, evocative and communicative, which in my estimation, equals powerful.
My own words elude me at the moment… but I love these of yours, because He, too, is My Rescuer.// My Redeemer. // and My Shame-bearer. Thank you, Cathy!
Thank you, Sarah. Joining you in praising our Savior all the day long! Blessings from SC…
